Hello! After staying in an island called Bohol for one month, I was given the chance to experience what it would be like as a local. I grew up in this island for a short period of my life, most of which I do not remember. So I guess it was time to relive it!
Bohol is located in the Central Visaya's of Philippines. Here, you will find the world's famous Chocolate Hills. During the dry season, the hills turn into a chocolate brown colour forming it's name, Chocolate hills.
Sadly, we arrived at the top of the hill as it was raining.
sister, brother in law, cousins and some photogenic asian bombers
While you're nearby, why not visit some Tarsiers? These little monkeys are smaller than your hand. Because these creatures are so majestic, we weren't able to hold them because they are so extinct. But here's some pictures around the area.
You can barely see the itty bitty monkeys.
If you're in Philippines, there's no way you would miss the beach. Check out Anda Beach. White sand beaches, crystal clear waters and the perfect opportunity to get those vacation pictures in. Here's some of them.
Panglao Beach is another tourist destination when visiting Bohol. This area is filled with resorts, you're bound to find the perfect spot to relax. We were fortunate enough to stay at the Hennan Beach Resort in Panglao.. Offering a 5 star world class experience this was the perfect place to hold a family reunion.
loving the palm trees
For a little more adventure, hop on a boat that'll take you snorkelling! You're guaranteed to see little fishes swimming around you. If you wake up early, you might be able to see dolphins! Sadly we didn't arrive on time to meet sea creatures, but the view made up for it!
wasn't sure how sanitary those goggles were
IMPORTANT: Most beaches will charge you an environmental fee per person and if you're planning a picnic, you'll most likely need to pay for renting a table. Keep that in mind when you're visiting beaches!
Lastly, I wanted to show you some native Filipino foods. There was a day where everyone celebrated what was called a "feast" Which meant, a lot of food!
I had so much fun in the Philippines and I hope you consider it as a potential vacation spot. Will most likely be back soon!
Special Shoutouts to my cousin Princess and my aunt (tita inday) for capturing these moments. So much love for both of you!
Until next time,
